Mescalito

Marsten & Marwood is the curious collection of peculiar fragrances handmade by Barnaby Black. Formulated with natural aromatics, raw botanicals, and fine fragrance materials, each scent is a small study in place, memory, and atmosphere.

Born of the Mojave sun and the haunted silence of the desert night, Mescalito captures the Southwest at its wildest: sacred woodsmoke, resinous pine, bitter mezcal, and the heatwave feeling that the landscape is looking back.

The Scent

Palo santo and desert cedar burn slow and deep. Piñon pine resin meets mezcal, pine tar, and black pepper, while tonka bean leaves a dark sweetness beneath the smoke. Buy the ticket, take the ride. Once you step into the Mojave, it may never let you go.

• Top: mezcal, black pepper, and bright desert air
• Heart: palo santo, piñon pine, desert cedar, and Utah juniper
• Base: pine tar, smoke, sagebrush, creosote bush and tonka bean

• Organic grain alcohol, 90-proof mezcal, live plant and tree infusions, steam-distilled essential oils, compounds, absolutes, and other fine botanical concentrates
• Wild-harvested piñon pine, Utah juniper, and sagebrush from the Mojave Desert
• Workshop tinctures of cedar, palo santo, black sage, Utah juniper, piñon pine needle, and tonka bean
• Homemade creosote bush concrete from plants harvested in Utah
