Foraging for aromatics is the same basic foundation as foraging for food is. Cooking is an art form much like creating fragrance & so it came as no hardship to bring to the table (pun intended), in very limited batches, a small line of culinary dry rubs & seasonings.
Douglas fir is hands down one of our favorite conifers. These old growth beauties have stood guardian with the coastal redwoods for centuries along the Pacific northwest coastal mountain region. Douglas fir has the most wonderfully, bright citrusy aroma that will bring a new & different dimension to food. Consider marinades and seasoning cuts of meat or topping goat cheese on that charcuterie board.
No chemicals or anti-caking agents just wild harvested Douglas fir needle & Pacific sea salt. Store in cool, dry place.
